Working Offline with AggFlow

Offline Use and File Management with AggFlow

AggFlow has been designed for offline use by design users with a USB security key. Offline use can occur when there is no connection to the internet or when firewalls prevent direct connection to the AggFlow server.

**To resolve connection issues related to firewalls, see Resolving Connectivity Issues**

Programming Security Key for Offline Use

The USB security key requires programing by a licensed design user when online prior to offline use. Once programed, it can be used to run AggFlow DM offline for 21 days from the time it is first used offline, following which it requires reprograming. When online the key can be programed as follows:

  1. By having the key inserted prior to opening a design project from the control panel.
  2. From the control panel, under the menu option Home, select Program Key for Offline Use.
  3. When a Worksheet Only is opened from the user Login window

You must be online to program the key as it will check online for the license information.

File Management

File management can be done online or offline.

To Save a File Offline

  1. From the control panel, select the revision to save, right click and select save to file (file location will be in a folder called Export in your documents folder).
  2. From the worksheet with the project open to save, select menu dropdown File, and select Save to File.

This will create a file with extension agzx. This file can only be reopened in the AggFlow DM program.

To Open an Project from a File

There are several ways to open a file in AggFlow DM as a project and revision to the control panel.

  1. Select the company to place the project into. Drag and Drop the file from the explorer file panel onto the control panel. This will create the project and the worksheet revision in the company that is selected.
  2. To import multiple projects in DM, select all the projects to import. An entire folder of projects can be imported into a company by selecting the folder, this will create a folder with the same name in the company with all the projects.
  3. Under Projects, select Import AGZ into Project. This will import the simulation as a new revision into the selected project.
  4. Under projects or from the control panel quick button, Create project from AGZ on control panel
  5. On an open worksheet, open revision from file. If the worksheet is blank, it will open the file in the revision, otherwise it will open a new worksheet. The revision will be saved to the project that is selected, unless it is saved to a new project.
  6. Drag and Drop the file onto any open worksheet. If there is already a simulation on the worksheet, a new worksheet will be opened.
